Hunt & Gather Raw Bar & Pub: A Culinary Gem in Panama City Beach

This food was amazing and the menu is very impressive. My only quelm is that for a place like this the ambiance could be better. The setup is small and looks like a place i would grab a sandwich from. Not somewhere where there is $100 + caviar service.

Absolutely amazing food. I almost didn’t go because there are a couple of bad reviews on TripAdvisor, but those reviews are completely false. The menu has something for everyone and it all has amazing flavor. If this chef hasn’t been nominated for a James beard award then they very well should be in the near future. Don’t let the location in a strip mall throw you off the quality of this food can hold its own against any top notch restaurant. I was completely blown away by everything.

One of the best restaurants in Panama City Beach, tucked away in a corner but absolutely worth finding. The menu is unique and adventurous, featuring items you don’t often see locally – elk, bison, and wild boar. We tried the elk, lamb lollipops, fresh oysters, and the fish of the day, and everything was outstanding. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality and creativity of the food. The ambience is cozy and memorable – I especially loved the quirky Christmas Story leg lamp touch. The only downside is they don’t take reservations, so we had to wait a bit, but the staff made it enjoyable by serving us drinks outside while we waited. All in all, a fantastic dining experience. If you’re in PCB and looking for something beyond the usual beach spots, Hunt & Gather is a must-try!

The best restaurant I’ve been to in Florida. Red snapper ceviche GAS. Bone marrow toast GAS. Lamb lollipops GAS. Octopus (not photographed) GAS. Quail Quesadilla GAS. Cheesecake GAS. I would recommend this place to every meat and seafood lover. It’s a must have.

Asked around “where is your favorite dinner?” and some guy in the elevator dropped the Hunt & Gather wisdom. Started with the oysters; delicious. Next up was the filet mignon blue cheese crusted, and I had to try the brussels. Perfectly cooked and the type of bites you pause to savor. Fantastic meal. Thank you!

Best food we had in a long time. Everything was cooked perfectly and the atmosphere was great. Oysters were the best we've had from anywhere ever. The hostess was super friendly and got us drinks outside while we waited briefly for our table. Great menu with very unique options! Swordfish was on special and almost melted in your mouth, same with the scallops and ceviche. Only thing is recommend is that they add more ceviche and chips for the appetizer. Other than that portions were great also. Waiter was very helpful and attentive. 100% worth the stop!!

First time here and the food was incredible. Started off with the wagyu beef carpaccio that melts in your mouth. Then half dozen raw oysters which were so fresh. Then ordered the red stag medium rare over risotto and it blew my mind. The lamb chops were also fanatic. David and Christoper recommended the plates and they delivered. I highly recommend eating here.

This is my go-to place to take our guests since moving to Panama City from Atlanta 3 years ago. The food menu is unrivaled in the Panama City area- execution and presents is dishes is phenomenal and makes me feel like I’m back at home in the big city! I was initially put off by the strip mall location but after our first visit, I forgot the location altogether. We most often order tapas style when eating with friends, but the entrees are absolutely to die for. Desserts are also fantastic. Presentation is beautiful, creative, and incredibly professional across the board. We have not had a single dish brought to our table that we were underwhelmed by, and we have tried just about everything on the menu at this point. Service has always been fantastic and attentive with each server having excellent, in depth knowledge of the menu items. This place the crown jewel of upscale dining in the Panama City area. So excited to try the new cocktail bar next door on our next visit!
